Level I Inspection-Is recommended for a chimney under continued service, under the same conditions, and with the continued use of the same appliance.
Level II Inspection-Is required when ANY changes are made to the system, upon the sale or transfer of a property, after an operation malfunction or external event that is likely to have caused the damage to the chimney. This will include an Internal Chim-Scan of your flue system with color photos to follow for your own records.
Level III Inspection-Is recommended when a Level I or Level II Inspection suggests a hidden hazard and the evaluation cannot be performed without special tools to access concealed areas of the chimney or flue.

A CSIA Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician inspects, cleans and verifies that the venting system is sized and installed correctly. These are recommended annually due to the complex construction of today's homes. Dryers are starting to be located away from outside walls for convenience but this makes for a potentially dangerous situation. These locations away from outside walls means longer venting distances often installed with more bends resulting in more surface area where lint can collect or animals and birds can hide.

Chimney Caps are the most inexpensive preventive measure that you as a homeowner can purchase to prevent water penetration and damage to your chimney. Think about it, if you don’t have a cap covering that big open hole (flue) atop your chimney where is the water going? Just ask yourself that question. It’s going right down your chimney interior, correct? Over time this causes things to just start falling apart and rusting not to mention the nasty odor that occurs when water and creosote mix in a wood burning fireplace. Chimney Caps come in all kinds of sizes to cover one flue or multiple flues. Caps will keep birds, squirrels and other rodents out of your chimney too.
